Huawei strengthens its router security with IPv6 update


Today, the Huawei HiLink Eco-Conference 2019 was held in Pudong, Shanghai. With the release of Huawei router Q2 Pro, Huawei’s 2019 routers 2019 will support IPv6. Currently, the routers that support IPv6 include Huawei Router Q2 Pro Series, Huawei Router Q2 Series, Huawei Router A1, Huawei Router WS5200 Series, Huawei Router WS5102, and Huawei Router WS5100.

According to Huawei, IPv6 routers are difficult to attack and it has random addresses. This is to ensure that IoT devices are more secure. At the same time, there is encryption of data at the IP layer which makes online shopping more secure. This is in addition to a smooth gaming experience without delay.

Thanks to the mother-child router design, Huawei router Q2 Pro works perfectly even when the signal is very poor. The mother router can support up to 15 sub-routers. Officials say that for large houses, especially those with an area of more than 100 square meters, the house will not affect the quality of the network. Furthermore, it adopts Lingqi chip and PLC Turbo technology to support 200M fiber broadband lossless expansion. It can also accommodate 100+ equipment simultaneously which helps IoT device to connect quickly within 20s.
