In the past 24 hours, there has been a couple of leaks regarding the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 X 5G version. The standard version of this smartphone was released last year and it is the largest model in the Huawei Mate 20 series. From what we know so far, the 5G version will retain the design of the 4G version but apart from using a 5G modem, its battery will be reduced to 4200 mAh and it will use a 40W SuperCharge as compensation.

Today, China Unicom released an image of this smartphone confirming the design and the only difference with the regular version is the 5G logo at the rear of the smartphone. Now, the retail box of this smartphone has appeared online and it was posted on Twitter by Slashleaks contributor, @Sudhanshu1414. Not much is contained in the retail box of this smartphone but it clearly shows that it is compatible with the 5G network.

In terms of basic parameters, Huawei Mate 20 X has a 7.2-inch giant screen coupled with 8GB of RAM. It comes with a triple Leica rear camera and it is powered by Huawei’s flagship Kirin 980 chip. The Chinese version of the Mate 20 X sells for 4,499 yuan ($673).  Huawei’s first 5G smartphone, Mate X will be available in June. Thus the 5G version of Huawei Mate 20 X should arrive after June. As for the price, we can be sure that it will be more expensive than the 4G version.
