Apple iPhone 9 & Galaxy S20 commence pre-sale with free gifts

Apple will not only release the premium iPhone 12 series, it will also launch two affordable iPhones this year. Well, we are already aware of the upcoming iPhone 9 device that the company seems quite desperate to launch. The iPhone 9 will launch in the first half of the year and will resemble iPhone 8 in terms of design. While we await the official launch of this device, it appears that a South Korean retailer already has this device on pre-sale. More interestingly is that this same retailer also has the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 for pre-sale.

Gizchina News of the week

In what is clearly an offline poster, South Korean retailer, KT, listed both the iPhone 9 and Galaxy S20 for pre-sale. The retailer is offering free Galaxy Buds+ for pre-ordering the Galaxy S20. In addition, for those who pre-order the iPhone 9, they will get the Apple Air Pods as free gift. According to Macotakara, discussions with Apple suppliers at CES 2020 suggests that the company “may be developing” iPhone 8 upgrade. This is probably what we know as iPhone 9 and it comes with Face ID.

Popular Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, believes that the iPhone SE2 (iPhone 9) will use the same A13 chip as the iPhone 11 series. This smartphone will also come with 3GB LPDDR4X, NAND Flash with 64 and 128GB options. It will have deep space gray, white, and Red colour options while expunging the pressure sensing module (3D Touch). Meanwhile, Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that the price of Apple iPhone SE2 will start from $399.

Apple iPhone 9 Plus?

Recently, reports of aa possible iPhone 9 Plus hit the web. As per the recent emerging report, the iPhone 9 Plus aka iPhone SE 2 Plus will feature a full-screen display without FaceID support. We’re looking at the screen size of somewhere in the middle of 5.5 to 6.1-inches. Since there is no FaceID support, the company is bringing back the fingerprint sensor which is obvious. What’s not obvious is the side placement of the fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor will be integrated inside the power button. This is the first time we will be seeing this approach from Apple. Lastly, the phone will make use of the LCD panel to keep the price down to an affordable category.
