Microsoft is gearing up for the next major update for its Windows 10 operating system. Yes! We’re talking about the upcoming spring update. With the new update, the company is planning to bring some major changes to the operating system. One such improvement is in its virtual assistant called Cortana. With the new update, Microsoft wants to bring some new capabilities to its assistant, especially focussing on the productivity tools.
Microsoft Cortana to Focus More on Productivity with Next Update
Microsoft recently announced that the new Cortana will help users quickly find the information across Microsoft 365. Aside from organizations, the new Cortana will also bring a plethora of changes to the consumer level. For starters, the new Cortana will get the chat-based interface along with voice and keyboard support. Furthermore, it will also bring Bing search enhancements. This means that the assistant will now search on Bing in an improved manner.
To enhance productivity, users will now be able to use Cortana for tasks and calendar scheduling along with reminders and much more. Another major change is going to be the addition of Microsoft account log-in. This means that users will now have to log-in with Microsoft account in order to use Cortana. Since the company is now improving security, older features such as music, connect home and other third-party skills will be removed.

The company has also pointed out that the features that are not mentioned in the list will eventually be removed. With that said, it will be constantly adding new features to enhance the overall user experience.
