Realme has finally launched the X3 series of smartphones today in India. The company has been teasing the smartphones for quite a while now. The launch took place as an online-only event and the star of the show X3 SuperZoom has been priced at Rs. 27,999 ($370).

The Realme X3 series has two models – Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom. The company has already launched the Super Zoom variant in Europe back in May. The highest variant of the budget flagship is slotted under EUR 500 in Europe.

Realme X3 SuperZoom follows a similar design trend as the predecessors. It has a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display which is a downgrade compared to the AMOLED found on the Realme X2. However, the company has compensated this with a 120Hz refresh rate screen which is also protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ SoC paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 Boost storage powers the device. The device comes in following storage variants – 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.

As the name suggests, the device has intriguing optics with an 8MP Periscope lens capable of 5X optical and up to 60X digital zoom with OIS. Samsung’s 64MP primary shooter along with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens complete the package. A 32MP and an 8MP selfie sensor are tucked inside the pill-shaped cutout at the front.

Other features include Bluetooth 5, WiFi, GPS, LTE for connectivity. In addition, there’s the USB-C ports, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 4,200mAh battery with support for 30W Dart charging.

Apart from this, the company iterated more on features like the 5D Liquid cooling for better thermals, 1216 super linear speakers with Dolby Atmos audio.

The X3 on the other hand is a slightly toned-down sibling of the X3 SuperZoom and shares similar internals with the latter. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+, faster UFS 3.0 storage, a similar 6.6-inch LCD display, 4200mAh battery with support for 30W dart charging.

However, being a regular variant, it misses out on the 8MP periscope lens found on the SuperZoom variant. While the other sensors placed are similar, the device comes with a lower 6/8GB of RAM and 128GB storage option.

Being a price-sensitive market, India is always keen on pricing. The Realme X3 SuperZoom has been priced at Rs. 27,999. The toned-down Realme X3 starts at Rs. 24,999 ($330). Sales for both the handsets start on June 30, 12 pm on Flipkart.

Alongside the X3 series, Realme also unveiled the affordable Buds Q TWS earbuds and Realme Backpack as a range of Smart lifestyle products.
