Since we first heard about it back in late 2019.  We were speculating this particular smartphone for quite some time now. The new patent of the clamshell Huawei smartphone shows a very similar design language to the Galaxy Z flip. Starting from the rear side, there is a long vertical camera setup. The long vertical housing might have a secondary display as-well. Since there is a mark where camera setup is limited to and the area below is likely a secondary display. Coming to the front side, a notch can be seen on the display. The classic notch hints at 3D facial recognition.

Talking about the mechanism, there is a rounded hinge mechanism. Meaning the device bends inwards, from top to bottom just like the mechanism present on Galaxy Z Flip.

More Hints At Huawei’s Foldable Phone

As you know, patents don’t guarantee whether the device will be released or not. But there are more things which hints at a foldable smartphone from Huawei. First of all, is the UTG that is purchased from Huawei. If you don’t know what UTG is, it is basically ultra-thin glass which is also used on the Galaxy Z flip. UTG is a glass that serves the foldable smartphones, hence the buying of UTG also hints at a new foldable smartphone from Huawei.
