Just like the Galaxy Note 20 series and Galaxy Tab S7 lineup, the upcoming Galaxy S20 Fan Edition has been making its round on the internet for a while now. Ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked 2020, the smartphone has appeared on numerous listing and leaks revealing key info bit by bit. For those who’re unaware, the S20 Fan Edition is going to be a toned-down version of the original S20. Sounds familiar? Yes! it is seemingly the successor of S10 Lite. Thanks to the recent emerging leak, we now know more about the camera sensors of the smartphone.

Galaxy S20 Fan Edition to use Galaxy S20’s camera sensor!

This new leak is coming from the notable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce). It looks like the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (or Galaxy S20 Lite) will make use of the Sony IMX555 sensor for its primary rear-facing camera. This is the same camera sensor that we saw with Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+. This makes sense considering we already know the primary sensor is going to be a 12MP one. The Sony IMX555 sensor comes with 12MP resolution and is a 1/1.76-inch sensor featuring with dual-pixel PD autofocus and 1.8µm pixels. It would be interesting to see whether we will see the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) in the device or not.

Gizchina News of the week

Considering previous reports, the S20 Fan Edition will feature a triple rear camera module. The setup will consist of a 12MP primary sensor, 12MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. The telephoto lens will also feature 3x optical zoom capabilities. For selfies, we’re looking at a single 32MP front snapper. Before the last week’s report, we’re expecting the primary rear sensor to be the 50MP ISOCELL Bright GN1 50 one.
