Samsung might bring 65W fast charging to the next-gen Galaxy S21 devices

Samsung Galaxy S21

With the recent launch of Galaxy S20 FE, Samsung is now done with all its flagship products for the year 2020. We saw a bunch of premium products from the brand such as the Galaxy Note 20 duo, S20 FE, Tab S7 lineup, Buds Live, and Galaxy Watch 3. Well, the company is now working on the next-gen flagship Galaxy S21 lineup. In fact, the lineup has been a part of numerous leaks and rumors in the last couple of weeks. It’s time to add yet another leak to the already exploded roster.

Galaxy S21 to come with 65W fast charging capabilities!

According to a report by GalaxyClub, Samsung is now working on a new charger adapter that carries the model number EP-TA865. During the launch of Galaxy Note 10+, we saw a charger with the model EP-TA845 supporting 45W fast charging. The adapter was launched as an optional accessory for the Note 10+ users. Considering the same model trend, the one that is currently in works would bring 65W fast charging.

Furthermore, the next flagship product from the brand is going to the Galaxy S21 so the fact that the device will support 65W fast charging makes more sense. We are also expecting only the top-end model to support the 65W fast charging technology. We saw a similar thing with the current-gen Galaxy S20 lineup. The base variant features 25W charging while the Ultra version brings 45W tech to the table.

It is also worth noting that the Galaxy Note 20 lineup, on the other hand, completely missed out on the fast charging capabilities. Both the Note 20 devices feature the 25W fast charging technology. Considering all these factors, we should see the 65W fast charging on the S21 Ultra model while the remaining might make use of 45W.
