Realme Q2 series launch in China set for October 13!


Back in September 2019, Realme launched its budget smartphone dubbed Realme Q. Well, it looks like the Chinese smartphone maker is now working on the successor of the device. The successor will arrive with the moniker Realme Q2. This is not the first time we’re hearing about the device. In fact, it recently made its way to ANTUTU benchmark shedding light on some key specs. Unlike the original Q smartphone, this time the company is planning to introduce two devices in the series namely Realme Q2 and Q2 Pro.

Realme Q2, Q2 Pro smartphones launch set for October 13!

After numerous leaks and rumors, we now finally know the launch date for the Realme Q2 series. Realme has now posted an official teaser of the device on its official Weibo channel. As expected, the teaser poster reveals the official launch date of the device. Realme Q2 series will see its official unveiling on October 13 in its homeland i.e. China. The launch event for the same will commence on the same day starting at 10AM in the country.

Sadly, the teaser doesn’t talk about any key specifications of the device. The poster does talk about Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 skin on top. We were already aware of the fact that upcoming Realme smartphone will arrive with the latest Realme UI 2.0 and that happens to be the Realme Q2. Yesterday, various images of the device surfasced on the web revealing everything related to design.

As you can see in the images, the device comes in white color option with the quad camera module on the back. Following the current trend, the rear camera module is recantgular-shaped housing all the sensors and an LED flash. The front of the device still remains unknown and we’re hoping to see that as well in the coming days.

To recall, the series is expected to bring the 65W fast charging capabilties along with a 5,000 mAh battery. The device will equip a 6.5-inch high 120Hz refresh rate display panel with FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, we’re looking at a Dimensity 800U chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB built-in storage.

The Chinese smartphone maker Realme also has other devices in its pipeline. The company is working on a new Realme 7 model that will bring the Snapdragon 875 chipset. Furthermore, we’re also expecting Realme X7 Pro smartphone to go global soon.
