Huawei Mate 40 series rear six-camera sensor design is interesting

Huawei is getting set to unveil the Mate 40 series which may be the company’s last flagship. A few days ago, the president of Huawei’s consumer business product line, He Gang, released a poster of what the Mate 40 series rear will look like. The image clearly shows two features of this smartphone. It shows the red power button as well as the physical volume rockers. The poster also reveals the rear polygonal design. However, the image did not completely reveal the number of polygons that it will have. At the time, there were speculations that it will use an Octagonal design (8-sided polygon). Well, 8-sides means that the sensors on the rear will be many – maybe too many.

However, we have not seen the last of the polygonal design. According to a recent image from a popular Twitter leakster, Teme, we might as well have a hexagonal design (6-sided polygon). This is more logical as the rear will not appear too crowded. In the image, the six sensors appear to be in a hexagonal shape. Perhaps, we will have five camera sensors and an LED flash. Also, beneath the flash, we have what looks like a fingerprint sensor. However, it is most unlikely that the Mate 40 series will use a rear fingerprint sensor. There are reports that this design is for the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche edition.

According to previous speculations, the Huawei Mate 40 series will not use the same rear design for all models. This series has at least four models – Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, Mate 40 Porsche Design. However, it is clear that all models in this series will use a punch-hole camera design. In fact, all of them will use a dual front camera setup.
