Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite with a render and some details surfaces on FCC

Xiaomi is all set to launch a new smartwatch – Mi Watch Lite featuring some exceptional specifications. After appearing on UL (Demko) certification a few days ago, it has finally appeared on the FCC revealing some unknown information about the watch. The Mi Watch series is soon going to get a new member at an affordable price.

According to the FCC listing, the Mi Watch Lite will feature 24-hour heart rate monitoring, a 1.4-inch color display, and screen auto-brightness support. Unlike the round dials on old Mi Watch models, the Lite version will ship with a square-shaped display.

Bearing the model number REDMIWT02, the smartwatch will be offered at competitive prices to gain from the emerging smartwatch market.

However, the Mi Watch Lite will be water-resistant up to 50 meters of depth and can easily recognize Swiming stroke. The inbuilt sensors are effective enough to provide accurate data while performing different physical activities. You can use it while cycling, running, swimming, jogging, etc without worrying about accuracy. The listing also confirms the presence of 24-hour Heart Rate monitoring.

The presence of built-in standalone GPS reduces the Mi Watch Lite’s dependency on a smartphone. The users can effectively track their physical activities without the need to carry a smartphone for location data. A 1.41″ Colorful HD Display will come with an Ambient sensor as it comes with an auto screen brightness feature. There’s a 230 mAh battery which could survive for days upon a single charge.

However, the smartwatch is compatible with the device running Android 4.4+ and iOS 10+ OS version.

Other details about the smartwatch are yet unknown. We expect some more information to surface before its official launch. It is quite hard to speculate about the pricing and other features at the moment. It better to wait for the official launch rather than shooting in the air.
