Xiaomi Mi 11X (Renamed Redmi K40) Coming To India On April 23


It’s a common practice for many smartphone vendors to launch the same model in various markets under different names. This is what is going to happen with the Redmi K40. The latter landed in the European market as the Poco F3. And today, we learned that our protagonist will hit the Indian market as the Xiaomi Mi 11X. Probably, there will also be the Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro, which corresponds to the Redmi K40 Pro.

Prior to this, Xiaomi confirmed that it will hold the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra launch event in India on April 23. Now, it turns out, at this event, apart from the Mi 11 Ultra, we will see another model in the face of the Xiaomi Mi 11X.

In fact, as for the Xiaomi Mi 11X, Xiaomi India CEO Manu Kumar Jain has announced the launch of the Mi X flagship series in India. Jain said through his Twitter that the upcoming X-series smartphones will provide ‘Xtreme Performance’ and ‘Xquisite Design’.

Redmi K40 Key Features

As the Xiaomi Mi 11X is the same Redmi K40, it’s useful to recall the key features of the latter. The Redmi K40 comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. There is a small punch-hole camera cutout on the screen for a 20-megapixel selfie sensor. On the back, the device sports a 48-megapixel AI main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel telephoto lens.

The machine features a Snapdragon 870 5G chip. It is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage space. There is also a 4,520mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging. Other specifications include support for 5G, 4G VoLTE, side fingerprint recognition module, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, etc.
