Xiaomi Mi Pad 5

On August 10, Lei Jun will have his annual speech. At the event, we also will see a number of new products such as the Xiaomi MIX 4, Xiaomi’s first high-end smart speaker, Xiaomi’s second OLED TV and other products. Interestingly, the company also said that the much-talked Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series models will be unveiled at the event as well.

By the way, this statement was issued by Xiaomi Mobile, while Xiaomi Tablet’s last post was done back in 2018. Also, a funny thing happened when some users asked in the comment section why Xiaomi Tablet account doesn’t issue announcements. The Xiaomi Mobile responded that some of the accounts and passwords are being retrieved. So not to make Mi fans wait for a long time, the statement was issued by Xiaomi Mobile.

Moreover, Xiaomi’s Wang Hua said that the case with forgotten passwords is true because “it’s really been a long time since I logged in. Now, the account is in a protected state. Weibo will protect and lock the official account that has not been updated for a long time, and is currently verifying the identity again.”

It turns out Xiaomi has had no plans to launch a new tablet. But the situation and the market changed. So they decided to bring back their much-popular Mi Pad line.

Anyway, this series is going to compete with top-end models such as the iPad Pro and the Huawei MatePad 11. But they are also going to be affordable Android tablets. The starting price of the vanilla version ought to be 1999 yuan, which converts to $302 only. Agree this is a good price for features they will come with.
