Redmi will officially release the Redmi K50 series in February this year. According to popular tech blogger, @DCS, the Redmi K50, K50 gaming edition, and K50 Pro will use a side-fingerprint solution. However, later, there will be a model that will use an on-screen fingerprint solution. According to previous information, the Redmi K50 and K50 gaming editions will certainly arrive in February. However, the Redmi K50 Pro with Dimensity 9000 will probably arrive in March. While the regular K50 will come with the Snapdragon 870, the gaming edition will use the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC.

Redmi K50 series get TENAA, Geekbench & 3C certifications

A new Redmi smartphone carrying model number 21121210C has made an appearance on TENAA, Geekbench, and 3C certification websites. The phone packs a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. Aside from that, it offers 120W charging support. According to MySmartPrice, these specs suggest that the recently spotted handset could be the Redmi K50 Pro. The Redmi 21121210C secured 1226 points and 3726 points in the single-core and multi-core round of the Geekbench 5 test.

Furthermore, the Geekbench listing reveals that the phone will be powered by an octa-core processor codenamed taro. This processor will have a 1 + 3 + 4 core configuration, coupled with a peak clock frequency of 3.0GHz. In other words, the Redmi 21121210C could pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor under the hood. This speculation aligns with an earlier report that suggests the Redmi K50 series will be the most affordable phone to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC.

Aside from that, the Redmi 21121210C bagged the important 3C certification recently. The 3C listing hints at 120W fast charging support. Moreover, the Geekbench listing hints at the availability of 12GB of RAM. It also implies that the phone will come running Android 12 OS. The charging capabilities and the processor powering up the Redmi 21121210C indicate that the device could launch as the much-awaited Redmi K50 Pro.

The Redmi K50 Pro is likely to draw its juices from a 4,700mAh battery. The word on the web is that Xiaomi will be launching several devices under its well-received Redmi K50 series in the coming days.
