Xiaomi has announced its plans to take part in the MWC 2022 exhibition, which will start in a week. The company will definitely bring smartphones under the POCO sub-brand to the exhibition in Barcelona. The fact that the devices of the sub-brand will have to defend the honor of Xiaomi at the exhibition was officially announced today.

Official: POCO X4 Pro announcement date

The company will hold its presentation on the first day of MWC 2022 — February 28. And the POCO M4 Pro and POCO X4 Pro should be presented. Recall that the first of the models is a global version of Redmi Note 11 based on Helio G96. As for POCO X4 Pro, it will be the Redmi Note 11 Pro version, which offers Snapdragon 695 chipset and 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging.

Also, the smartphone has a 108MP camera and a 120Hz AMOLED panel with FullHD+ resolution. The presence of the Snapdragon 695 chipset clearly looks like a controversial and unpopular decision. Against the background of the Poco X3 Pro with Snapdragon 860, the new product clearly looks losing in terms of performance.

The main characteristics of the X4 Pro smartphone are revealed

Already on February 28, Xiaomi will introduce a couple of new smartphones from the Poco brand. These will be the X4 Pro 5G and X4 Pro 4G models.

There was already a lot of information about the first, but now the second has been partially declassified. It’s shown up in the Google Play Console, so we can see some of its specs.

For example, if Snapdragon 695 serves as the heart in the older version, then MediaTek Helio G96 will be the basis of the younger one. The tested device had 6 GB of RAM. It also states that the screen resolution will be 2400 x 1080 pixels. With a density of 440 pixels per inch, indicated on the site, the diagonal will be about 6.4 inches.

It is believed that Poco X4 Pro 4G will be a renamed version of Redmi Note 11S, but with a different main camera.

Also, alongside these smartphones, the first Poco smartwatch has been recently been approved for release in several European countries. Mostly smartphones are produced under the Poco brand, but now the company is preparing to enter new markets.

So, the corresponding page appeared on the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The smartwatch will carry the model number Poco M2131W1 and be manufactured by 70mai Co. Ltd. in Shanghai, China. It is one of the Xiaomi ecosystem brands. 70mai is known for its DVRs.

There was no mention of specifications in the EEC listing, so for now this is all the information about the first Poco smartwatch at the moment.
