Redmi K50 Pro

Today, Lu Weibing, when giving an interview, said that the upcoming Redmi K50 smartphone powered by the Dimensity 9000 flagship chips performs quite smoothly. We guess you know that there will be a Redmi K50 model that should debut the Dimensity 9000 processor. If believing a Weibo blogger, the model with this chip is going to be the Redmi K50 Pro+.

Why we praise the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 so much is that it adopts TSMC’s 4nm process and consists of 1 Cortex-X2 super core, 3 Cortex-A710 large cores, and 4 Cortex-A510 small cores. Also, it integrates the ARM Mali-G710 GPU. In AnTuTu, this SoC has managed to exceed 1 million points. In many aspects, it is identical to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but due to the process node, it provides a way more stable performance.

Apart from a powerful processor, from the 3C certification network access screenshots, we can see that the Redmi K50 Pro+ supports a 120W fast charging solution.

By the way, the previously released Redmi K50 e-sports version supports 120W charging as well. Its 4700mAh capacity battery can get fully charged in only 17 minutes. Something similar to this we will see on the Redmi K50 Pro+.

Well, we have been talking about the most powerful version. But what about the rest of the models? It turns out the vanilla version will debut another MediaTek chip, the Dimensity 8100. Moreover, this is the first time that Redmi uses MediaTek 5G chips on the K series high-end flagships.

As for this SoC, it uses TSMC’s 5nm process and consists of four Cortex A78 large cores and four Cortex A55 small cores. The GPU is the six-core Mali-G610.

Lu Weibing said that the performance of the Dimensity 8100 far exceeded expectations. “In our internal test, the Dimensity 8100 not only has a powerful flagship performance but also has a terrifying ultra-high energy efficiency ratio. Due to it, when playing games, you don’t have to worry about heat.” In other words, unlike many Snapdragon chips, including the latest flagship one, the new Dimensity chips are capable of providing long-lasting stable performance.
