Vivo to unveil its first foldable smartphone on April 11

The Chinese company Vivo has published a teaser talking about the imminent announcement of the X Fold smartphone. This device will debut exactly in two weeks – on April 11.

The named device will be the first Vivo smartphone equipped with a flexible display. The device will receive a design in the form of a book with a screen that folds into the body.

According to available information, the size of the flexible panel will be about 8 inches diagonally, the resolution is QHD+. The refresh rate will reach 120Hz. On the outside of the case there will be an auxiliary display with a hole for the front camera. This screen will allegedly have a size of 6.53 inches and Full HD+ resolution.

The main camera was in developpment in partnership with Zeiss. It combines four optical modules, which are available in a circular area.

According to the available information, the “heart” of the Vivo X Fold will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with eight processing cores (up to 3.0 GHz) and an advanced 5G modem. Power will be provided by a 4600 mAh battery with support for 80-watt fast charging and 50-watt wireless charging.

Chinese Vivo has also recently published a series of teasers showing the company’s first tablet from various angles. The timing of the release of the gadget called Vivo Pad on the market will be announced on March 28.

Also, the device will get a display with narrow bezels. According to rumors, the screen size will be about 11 inches diagonally, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

In addition, the equipment will include three cameras. The front camera will supposedly be based on an 8-megapixel sensor, and the dual rear system will combine sensors with 13 and 8 megapixels.

Also, it will run on the Snapdragon 870 processor, which combines eight Kryo 585 cores with a clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz, the Adreno 650 graphics accelerator and the Snapdragon X55 5G cellular modem. Power will be provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 8040 mAh with support for fast 44-watt charging.

In addition, a USB Type-C port, side physical control buttons and a four-speaker audio system are available. Users will be able to interact with the tablet using a special pen, and an additional keyboard will allow the device to be in use as a compact laptop.
