There are not many smartphone makers that are offering folding screen smartphones. Only four of them could overcome all the production difficulties and create folding handsets that work properly. Among them, we can mention Samsung, Huawei, Motorola, and Xiaomi. But the rest of the big names in the field will release their own models soon. Apart from OPPO, VIVO has been in the talks of the town. Recently, we learned that the VIVO X Fold will hit the stores on April 11. Today, the company’s Weibo page released a promo video that discloses some interesting info about the phone.

According to the official introduction, the VIVO X Fold adopts a square and round sky-level design. As the video shows, the rear circular camera module is located on a rectangular panel. Also, there is a small blue Zeiss logo in the upper right corner. In addition, the new machine uses a “super-sensing folding giant screen”. However, there is no hint of what this description means.
Other than that, the phone will adopt a plain leather shell on the rear. Thus, it will provide a better grip, which is essential for smartphones with such a huge screen size. The phone will have a T* coating and have a thickness of only 6.28mm.

VIVO X Fold Features
Prior to this, we learned that the handset appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The latter disclosed that our protagonist uses a 6.53-inch FHD+ resolution OLED single-punch curved outer screen and an 8-inch 2K E5 LTPO UTG inner screen. The battery inside will have a 4600mAh capacity battery. As we are dealing with a premium smartphone, it’s logical to know that it supports fast charging. For instance, it will come with an 80W wired fast charging support as well as a 50W wireless fast charging. The screen will also hide a dual ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the panel.
As for photography, the VIVO X Fold will sport a 50MP 1/1.5″ main camera. It is going to be accompanied by a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 12MP 2x telephoto lens, and an 8MP 5x full focal length lens. As said, the camera has been jointly created with Zeiss.
The phone will be available in two memory options, 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of native storage and 12 GB of RAM with 512 GB of storage. Plus, there will be at least three color options – Blue, Crimson, and Orange.
