Samsung Galaxy S22 series is being contemplated with a new update

Galaxy S22

A couple of months have passed since the Galaxy S22 series launch. However, the devices are still hot thanks to Samsung and its updates. The Korean firm has been doing a great job with updates for its smartphones overall, but as usual, the Galaxy S22 as the current flagship gets better treatment with granular updates. Today, the company is rolling yet another update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The goal as you may expect is to improve the overall experience and optimize and fixes some annoyances. Worth noting, however, that the update is only reaching the Galaxy S22 units that run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 platform. Those rocking an Exynos 2200 variant, will have to wait a bit longer for the update. But we’re sure the update will eventually arrive for everyone.

A new update is rolling out with fixes for the Galaxy S22 series

The new update version carries the label S90xEXXU2AVE4. Note that the X goes for the variant of the phone that you have. Worth noting that the update is already rolling out in a bunch of countries and is quite small with just 350 MB. The update is rolling out over the air, so it may take a few days to reach all eligible units. The update comes with a couple of security fixes for the smartphone. Unfortunately, Samsung fails to name these vulnerabilities and only says that they’re now fixed. Furthermore, the update brings “improvements for the overall stability of functions”. As you can clearly see, the company has a generic changelog with mysterious information. For now, we can only trust the performance and experience will be improved.

Galaxy S22

It’s not every day, or every month, that company launches mid-month updates. But the treatment is different for the Galaxy S22 series smartphones. Also, we can only assume that the company has found something within the previous software. Maybe a big vulnerability or performance issue, we’ll never know, as the company is quickly rolling an update with unnamed fixes. The company couldn’t wait for the June security patch update that is likely to arrive in the next few weeks.

You can try your lucky force-checking the update via the Settings >> Software update. As far as the Samsung Galaxy S22 variants with Exynos 2200, they probably will need to wait a few weeks until the update arrives. However, there is always the possibility that the issues fixed here are only for the Snapdragon variants. Time will tell.

It may be a good time to acquire a Galaxy S22 series, specially the S22+. After all, the price has been depreciating. The company is rumored to launch a Galaxy S22 FE later this year, and there are a few rumors floating around.
