OnePlus Pad Launched: Not And iPad, But A Good Option

OnePlus Pad

Gone are those days when OnePlus was offering only one product – a premium smartphone. Now, it not only designs low-end and mid-range smartphones under the Nord series, but also has a wide range of other products, such as TVs, wearables, etc. Today, besides releasing the OnePlus Ace 2 flagship phone, the company also unleashed the first OnePlus Pad tablet. The tablet will go on sale globally.

OnePlus Pad Highlights

The body of the OnePlus Pad uses a CNC-processed aluminum alloy. We can also notice the so-called “Star Orbit” engraving process around the rear camera.

The tablet comes with a 13MP ultra-large rear camera module, which is located in the middle of the back cover. The front camera has an 8MP resolution, which is also located in the middle of the horizontal frame.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus Pad is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. This top-end chip is paired with 8GB/12GB of memory. There is also a 9510mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

On the front, we have an 11.6-inch 144Hz LCD screen with an 88% screen-to-body ratio and a narrow bezel of 6.54mm. The screen aspect ratio of this product is unique 7:5. OnePlus says the 7:5 screen ratio will provide a better reading experience. Plus, it should be ideal for playing games and surfing on the net.

In addition, the OnePlus Pad supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It has an OnePlus Stylo (stylus) and OnePlus magnetic keyboard. With their help, the tablet will turn into a full-featured computer. So this is not an ordinary tablet but a 2-in-1 tablet PC. By the way, recently, Xiaomi released its first 2-in-1 tablet computer based on an ARM chip.

The OnePlus Pad also runs Oxygen OS 13 based on Android 13. We still have no info about its price and shipping date.
