Microsoft made an official statement about this new feature during an onboarding process. It reads, “This is a non-custodial wallet, meaning you are in complete control of your funds. We will not have access to your password and recovery key. It is embedded in Edge, making it easy to use without installing any extension”.
Features of the Edge Browser Wallet
On the introductory page of the wallet, Microsoft did not specify the cryptocurrencies that this new wallet supports. However, one screenshot has revealed that users can manually add custom tokens to their wallets.
One good thing about this new wallet is that users can also browse and purchase NFTs from all the popular marketplaces. Microsoft has not officially released the new wallet as the company is still working to perfect it.
