Honor X50 Spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and 12GB of RAM

Yesterday, tipster Digital Chat Station leaked some images of the Honor X50 that seemed to be part of the company’s promo materials. These images confirmed the new phone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Less than 24 hours after this initial report, the Honor X50 was spotted on Geekbench confirming the chipset’s choice. Besides the chipset, Geekbench also confirms some neat details like 12 GB of RAM and Android 13.

According to Honor, the Honor X50 will be a special milestone to celebrate the first decade of Honor X-series products. The device will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with 4 x ARM Cortex-A78 cores at up to 2.2 GHz, and 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores at up to 1.8 GHz. Geekbench confirms the phone with the Adreno 710 GPU. We also know that this chipset boasts a 4nm manufacturing, which makes it quite efficient.

The listing confirms at least one variant will have 12 GB of RAM. It will run Android 13 and is expected to have the latest Magic UI 7 running atop. Besides the chipset, the Honor X50 will bring a huge 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 2,652x 1,200 pixels of resolution. The device has an in-display fingerprint scanner and an 8 MP selfie shooter. Moving around to the back, we have a nice-looking circular camera island. There are just two cameras – One 108 MP main camera, and a secondary 2 MP camera.

The 12 GB variant will join the other two variants with 8 GB and 16 GB of RAM. The latter will make the Honor X50 one of the first mid-range phones to bring 16 GB of RAM. As for storage, the device will come in flavors with 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB of Storage. The Honor X50 will draw power from a 5,800 mAh battery with 35W fast-charging support.

Honor has a busy month ahead

The Honor X50 will launch on July 5 and we expect Honor to keep teasing the handset in the next few days. In fact, July will be a busy month for Honor. One day after the Honor X50 launch in China, the Honor 90 will be launched globally. One week later on July 12, the company will introduce the Honor Magic V2 which promises a revolution for foldable.
