OnePlus is gearing up to make its big entrance in the foldable smartphone market. The company will present the OnePlus Open to the world on October 19. While the OnePlus Open will make its official debut on October 19th, it will take a few more days to hit the shelves in India. As per the renowned insider Abishek Yadav, the phone will be released on October 27th with a price tag of INR 139,999 (~$1,680). That represents a premium price, but it’s not a huge surprise as foldable smartphones involve complex and costlier technology. It will take some time for such devices to reach a wider audience at more affordable prices. The price aligns with the leaked price for Europe. In German, for example, the OnePlus Open is tipped with a price tag of $1,699. The phone will launch with only two color options in Europe – Faux Leather and Glass Back Green. However, when it comes to India, there will also be a Green and Gold color options. Additionally, OnePlus will offer the classic black color option, a popular choice among users.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus Open will be an attracting device in the growing foldable segment. It will pack a 7.82-inch inner OLED screen with 2,268 x 2,440 pixels and 120 Hz refresh rate. It will have a cover display with 6.31-inches. Under the hood, the phone boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of Storage.

As for the camera setup, the phone features a 50 MP main camera, 32 MP telephoto shooter, and a 48 MP ultrawide camera. The phone has a 4,800 mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 10W wireless charging.
