Galaxy M51 tipped to launch in early June

Samsung Galaxy M31

It’s been just a few months since the launch of Samsung Galaxy M3. But the company is already buckling up for the launch of its successor, the Galaxy M31s and M51. A new tip from 91Mobiles points to an imminent launch that could be as early as next week or early June.

Sources for 91Mobiles have pointed out that Samsung could be announcing the Galaxy M31s by next week or Early June. Interestingly this time around, a higher model of Galaxy M51 is also expected to hit the centre stage along with M31s however, its availability could be delayed to late June or early July.

Samsung has categorised its budget and mid-range smartphones in the country into M and A series respectively. So far, the company has been updating the lineups of each series but the Galaxy M51 of the M series lineup is said to be the first of its kind.

Latest Leaked Specifications

The source also hints at the inclusion of a 64MP Samsung’s ISOCELL GW1 sensor in the Galaxy M31s and M51. Now, this isn’t very surprising considering last year’s models had overlapping specifications. It further added that both the devices will have a quad-camera setup.

Galaxy M40 or Galaxy M51

So far, other details of both the handsets have been kept under wraps but we can assume that they are supposed to have different internals along with AMOLED displays. However, the Galaxy M51 may include an in-display fingerprint sensor to project itself as a higher model than the M31s.

Apart from this, an earlier report had pointed out that the phones could arrive in 128GB storage options. However, there could be a lower 64GB variant as well. They are expected to run on One UI 2.0 based on Android 10

All in all, this is an interesting update regarding Samsung as the lineup is getting refreshed very early. There is no word from the company yet, however, we can expect an official announcement to come soon.
