Galaxy Note 3 Lite Downgrades to 720p and LCD, May Show at MWC

Samsung's long rumored budget priced Galaxy Note 3 Lite had a few more details slip yesterday, including its screen resolution and possible reveal date.

Courtesy of a User Agent Profile (UAProf) uncovered by German site Galaxyclub.nl via Sam Mobile, the Galaxy Note 3 Lite will sport a 1280x720 likely 5.7 inch LCD screen. It is a significant downgrade from the original Galaxy Note 3's 1080x1920 AMOLED screen, but depending on the price, could be a worthwhile trade off.

The leaked Samsung SM-N750 (the alleged product number of the Samsung Note 3 Lite) also gets a downgrade in the camera department, dropping from 13MP to 8MP for its back facing camera. The last morsel of information that can be mined from the UAProf is that it isn't currently running Android 4.4, but there is no reason why that can't change before the phone ships.

In the UAProf, the CPU is listed as using ARM11 microprocessors, which would rule out the Snapdragon 800 since the ARM11 is based off ARMv6 and the Snapdragon 800 uses ARMv7 but that likely doesn't mean much. Back in July when UAProf reports outed the original Samsung Galaxy Note 3, ARM11 was listed as the CPU in what must have been a placeholder because the Galaxy Note 3 does utilize the Snapdragon 800 and not ARM11 cores. Every other spec leaked at that time ended up being correct.

The Galaxy Note 3 Lite is not expected to debut at next week's Consumer Electronic Show, but rumors are being reported by multiple sites that it will debut at the Mobile World Congress next month in Barcelona, possibly along with the Samsung Galaxy S5.
