Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold Wide Specs Leak Ahead of 2026 Launch

New details have emerged about Samsung’s next big things in the foldable segment! The brand is set to introduce the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide in the coming months, as the latest news suggests we will see a bunch of new smartphones this time.

As per the leak, Samsung could hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026. The company is expected to introduce three foldables: the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide.

Galaxy Z Fold8 Brings Battery and Camera Improvements

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is said to keep a similar design to its predecessor, measuring about 4.1mm at its thinnest point when unfolded and weighing slightly over 210 grams. Screen sizes are also expected to stay the same, with a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner screen.

Samsung will reportedly equip the device with the same processor planned for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Ultimate for Galaxy high-frequency version.

The biggest hardware changes appear in the camera and battery departments. The main camera remains 200MP, while the ultra-wide sensor gets upgraded to 50MP. Both front-facing cameras are expected to stay at 10MP. The battery capacity is also increasing from 4,400mAh to 5,000mAh, while wired charging moves up from 25W to 45W, addressing one of the biggest complaints about the previous model.

Galaxy Z Fold Wide Offers a Different Approach

Samsung is also reportedly working on the Galaxy Z Fold Wide, a new foldable with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 4:3 aspect ratio for a more tablet-like experience.

The phone is expected to feature a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, without a telephoto sensor. It will reportedly include a 4,800mAh battery with 45W charging support and weigh around 200 grams.
