Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Will Come with 100x Zoom Capabilities

This might change soon as the Korean is rumored to go the next level with the Galaxy Z TriFold. As the name suggests, this device will enter the trend of tri-folding displays. According to a new leak, the Galaxy Z TriFold will sport a powerful camera with 100x Zoom capabilities.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 was praised for its slim, durable build and a powerful 200 MP camera. Thanks to the powerful sensor, the device can capture a high amount of details when there is enough light. However, it is still behind the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra when it comes to the zoom features. This will change with the arrival of the Galaxy Z TriFold, Samsung's next big thing in the foldable range. 

Recent leaks on X by tipsters @TechHighest and @evowizz show animations of the Samsung TriFold’s user interface. The leaks reveal how multitasking will work on the new foldable. For example, users will be able to drag apps across screens and even use DeX for a desktop-like experience.

One of the most interesting details comes from the camera interface. One animation shows a zoom feature going up to 100x. This would be the first time a Samsung foldable has offered such high zoom.

This is a big step for Samsung’s foldable line. The first Galaxy Z Fold from 2019 only had a 3x telephoto zoom. In just a few years, the technology has improved a lot, and Samsung seems ready to push the limits.

The leak does not reveal the exact resolution or focal length of the periscope camera. Still, it looks like the TriFold will likely have a dual telephoto setup. Samsung seems to be keeping the design slim, avoiding bulky hardware while still offering advanced camera features.

The Samsung Tri-Fold could come with a 200-megapixel main camera, similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This makes people expect a very strong camera for this foldable phone. However, Samsung has not confirmed this yet. So, it is best to take these reports with a pinch of salt.
