Samsung is finally ready to roll out
One UI 8.0. The stable update should start this month, beginning with the
Galaxy S25 series. Unlike last year’s delay with One UI 7, this time the company has kept the September schedule consistent.
Updates Signal Imminent Rollout
This week, Samsung released a series of language resource pack updates in the Galaxy Store. These packs support translation and transcription across Galaxy AI features.
According to Sammobile, this is a common step before a major software release.
Installing these updates now can help your device prepare for
One UI 8.0. To do so, open the Galaxy Store, tap Menu > Update > Update all. The packs are still usable after upgrading, but Samsung recommends installing them first. This allows your phone or tablet to allocate resources efficiently for the new software. You can also check the
Google Play Store for pending updates.
When It Might Arrive
While Samsung has not shared a precise date, leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 models may get the stable update on September 18. A week later, the Galaxy S24 series and select Galaxy A-series devices could follow.
Tablets and lower-end Galaxy models may get One UI 8.0 in early October, though this depends on the region. Leaks mainly cover Asia, so other countries might see different dates.
What You Can Expect
One UI 8.0 isn’t just a new look. You’ll get improved AI features, better system stability, and smoother performance. Those language packs you install now? They help the AI features work better once the update arrives.
Staying Ready
For now, make sure both your Galaxy Store and Google Play Store apps are up to date. Samsung often releases small updates in the days leading up to a major release. Staying current will help your device transition seamlessly to One UI 8.0.
