That’s what it certainly looks like if these accidentally posted
applications found over at
Amazon.com are anything to go by.
AndroidNews.de were snooping around Amazon’s website recently and managed to find a a bunch
Android applications which seemingly look to have been accidentally added to the site before it’s official launch.
The applications, 41 in total included some of the most popular
Android application currently
available for the number one mobile platform. Zenonia, Raging Thunder II, SetCPU, The
Moron Test and SwiftKey, just to
name a few all look set to be readily
available on the new
store.
More interestingly though was some of the prices of the leaked
applications which actually cost quite a bit less on the upcoming
Amazon store than they do on the official
Google Android store; Scan2PDF for example costs a whopping $6.44 on the Android
market, however on
Amazon the
price is much lower at $3.99. Our favorite photo
application Vignette is also cheaper at $2.49 on Amazon, where as the Android
market price is over $4!
It will be interesting to see what the real
Amazon market will be like once officially
launched, and how Google will react!
