Xiaomi’s Hongmi might be one of the better value phones on the market but even that $130 phone is starting to look pricey when compared to the JiaYu F1, but Xiaomi aren’t giving up yet and are believed to be working on a $50 phone!
Just when we thought Xiaomi brought about a revolution with their $130 quad-core Xiaomi Hongmi smartphone, a certain JiaYu perhaps took offence and decided to redefine the term ‘low cost quad-core phone’!
Although we haven’t really spoken much about the Moto G here, we did know it was coming, and now it is here. With the concerned price point, the device aims to dethrone Chinese phones are the value-for-money kings!
Taiwanese chip maker Mediatek, who have risen from the ranks of cheap knock-off phones to high end devices from Xiaomi, Sony and others, posted their Q3 earnings today showing an impressive 17% increase in sales.
Although ZTE is somewhat a known brand in the US market thanks to low cost dongles and entry-level smartphones, the country hasn’t yet witnessed any of ZTE’s high-end smartphones. However, this is all set to change this month.
