Vivo is on a roll these past weeks and same goes for the coming weeks. According to recent leaks the company plans a special event on Feb. 19 in India, where the lineup is expected to welcome 2 new models: the V70 and the
V70 Elite. If you've been around the past few weeks, you may know by now that the Elite model is supposedly the company’s first V-series smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 8-series chipset. Which is cool, but also... that puts it closer to the X-series, which is confusing for marketing.
Key Points:
- Vivo V70 series launches February 19 with standard V70 and first-ever Elite variant
- V70 priced Rs 45,999-Rs 49,999; V70 Elite ranges Rs 51,999-Rs 61,999 in India
- V70 Elite becomes first V-series phone with Snapdragon 8-series chipset (likely 8s Gen 3)
- Elite model features 6,500mAh battery, 90W charging, 50MP periscope with 3x optical zoom
- Both models offer six years of software updates, IP68/69 rating, aluminum frames
Vivo V70 series (rumored) price

spilled the pricing recently. Base V70 supposedly hits Rs 45,999 (around $510) with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Want 12GB RAM instead? That jumps to Rs 49,999 (roughly $555) while keeping storage at 256GB. Colors are Passion Red and Lemon Yellow.
The V70 Elite costs more obviously. Cheapest option packs 8GB RAM with 256GB storage at Rs 51,999 (about $575). Middle version brings 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage for Rs 56,999 (approximately $630). Top configuration loads 12GB RAM alongside 512GB storage at Rs 61,999 (around $685).
Pre-bookings apparently start February 12 and run until February 24. Actual sales happen between February 25 and 28 according to the leak. There's also some "Superweek" promotion mentioned for February 25 through March 3, though nobody knows what deals that includes yet.
Last year's
Vivo V60 5G launched at Rs 38,999 (roughly $430). That generation didn't have any Elite model at all, so this year's strategy expanded the lineup upward.
Elite Hardware Packs Punch
The V70 Elite reportedly runs Snapdragon 8-series silicon—probably the 8s Gen 3 based on timing. RAM uses LPDDR5x tech while storage runs UFS 4.1 standards for faster performance.
Screen measures 6.59 inches using OLED panels at 1.5K resolution. Battery capacity hits 6,500mAh, which honestly feels huge even now. Charging speeds reach 90W, so topping up that monster battery shouldn't drag on forever.
Camera setup includes three sensors on the back. Main one uses 50MP with optical stabilization built in. There's an ultra-wide thrown in plus a 50MP periscope telephoto doing 3x optical zoom. Digital zoom stretches to 100x supposedly, though image quality at maximum magnification probably looks awful. Front camera also hits 50MP and includes autofocus.
Regular V70 Drops Down
Standard V70 uses Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processing instead. Display and cameras supposedly match the Elite pretty closely, though exact specs remain unclear.
Both phones share certain things. Frames use aluminum alloy construction. IP68/69 ratings handle dust and water exposure. Software runs OriginOS 6 on top of Android with six years of promised updates—that's genuinely impressive long-term support.
