Xiaomi Mi 4i heading to Malaysia, now confirmed

Xiaomi's Mi 4i is among the more promising mid-range phones out there, and it has now been confirmed that the phone will make it to the Malaysian markets.

The Mi 4i comes with the second generation Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit chipset, and has 2GB of RAM to boot. In its price range, the Mi 4i is touted to be among the best phones; with my limited use of the device, I can certainly say it is quite good.

The phone was launched in New Delhi last month at an event which happened to be Xiaomi's first ever international spectacle. In Malaysia, Xiaomi's head of product, Donovan Sung along with others is scheduled to take centrestage on May 21 for a special media preview of the phone.

It might be among the lesser expensive Xiaomi phones, but the Mi 4i surprisingly packs the largest battery Xiaomi has ever shipped. You can find out more about the specifications of the device here, or read our unboxing and hands on article here.

There's no word on exactly how much the Mi 4i will go for in Malaysia, but considering the prices in other markets, the phone should retail for around RM750.
