China Mobile to Launch Android ‘LifePad’ Tablet

With China Unicom getting the iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4 and presumably the 3G iPad soon (after reading this it makes sense) its likely China Mobile are seething a little.
So they’re launching a 7 inch tablet running Android 2.2.
China Mobile will be marketing their LifePad as a more more portable alternative to the popular Apple iPad and have spec’d it with GPS, 3G and Mobile Market access. Previous prototypes had ARM Cortex A8 CPU’s but it’s not been sure if these are still in place.
The mid sized LifePad is still under development, but is expected to launch early June and cost less than 3000 Yuan ($450).
