First Look: Samsung Galaxy Tab Clone

The Galaxy Tab has been on the market for quite a few months now, but compared to the iPad it’s seeing relatively little success (at least in China anyway). The reason for this poor show is nothing to do with the device but rather its ridiculously high price tag of 6500 Yuan ($985)!
Thankfully, however we’ve not had to wait long for a clone to pop up! But rather than just looking the part this clone may actually be able to put it’s money where it’s mouth is!

Gizchina News of the week

More details after the jump!

At the time of writing we only have the above picture for you to look at, but we do have some very important tech specs to go with it.
First off is the screen. It’s a 7 inch capacitive unit with a resolution of 1024 x 600 touch response is good and the overall viewing angle is really very impressive as is the clarity of text and images.
Underneath the rather impressive screen and shrouded in the Galaxy Tab like shell we’ve got a real live genuine 1Ghz Samsung PC110 Cortex A8 CPU! RAM is a generous 512mb  and the O.S is Android 2.2.

The rest of the details are still to be confirmed but prices are expected to start at around 2000 Yuan which is pretty astonishing for a tablet with such a high end CPU and capacitive screen.
