Google are really testing the water in China, first they redirect their Chinese page to the HongKong hosted alternative, then they continue to map China despite being told they can’t unless they have a license to do so, and now to top it all of 3 of the American search engine’s affliate companies in China have been found guilty of Tax evation!

The companies found with dodgy books were Google Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Gouxun Advertising Company, Google Information Technology (China) Co., Ltd.!
It’s not the first time Google have tried to slip past the tax man in China though! Back in 2007 they were found unpaid tax bills of over 20 million Yuan! ($3,051,548).
