5.3-inch Giant Panda Newman launching at $211


Hot on the heels of the Newman N2 and MTK powered Newman K1 is the Newman Giant Panda, 5.3-inch Android phone.

Newman have managed to keep a lid on the Newman Giant Panda up until today, when the company began to promote the new phone on popular Chinese E-commerce site Tababo.

The Giant Panda get’s a 5.3-inch QHd display, black front with white rear (naturally) and will be powered by a 1.2-Ghz quad-core MT6589 processor and 1GB RAM. Similar to the K1 this new, larger phone will have a 2 mega-pixel front camera, 8 mega-pixel rear and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Pricing in China has been announced at 1299 Yuan ($211), but is likely to be closer to $260 once international resellers begin to offer the phone.

    A 5.3 screen is not so giant anymore. All the more so with just 1GB and an 8 mega shooter.

        I cant just believe you people who say that this resolution is to small for this size. OMG My friend has 15″ monitor with this resolution. I perfectly can see no problem here. And here we are talking of 5.3″.
