Google cuts the Nexus 4 price by $100

The Nexus 4 was already an affordable, but difficult to buy, flagship phone and now after a price cut of $100 it is an even better bargain.

The Nexus 4, manufactured for Google by Korean company LG, has been around for a while now and rumours of the Nexus 5 are popping up everywhere so news that Google has dropped the price of current model isn’t all that surprising, but the degree of the price drop is!

Gizchina News of the week

Even with the Nexus 5 looming on the horizon it is going go be very difficult for anyone to pass up a Nexus 4 at the new low price of only $199!

The price drop is effective now and the customers in the United States, UK, Canada, Spain, Korean and Germany can enjoy the new discounted price!

LG and not Google sells the Nexus in the rest of the world. Full price it is.

All of a sudden Chinese phones are looking less desirable!

Your statement is somewhat true, but I still find Chinese phones more appealing than the mass market phones for the following reasons.

      * Lower Price Point (Doesn’t apply to the Nexus obviously)

*Sd card slot (the nexus doesn’t have)

      *More selection

*Bigger batteries that are also replaceable

Once I was interested in this phone but was put off because; no expandable memory, battery isn’t removable, no 4G.

May be a closeout prior to Nexus 5 like they did for old Nexus 7?? If new pricing strategy by Google, expect lower prices for Chinese phones if they are to survive.

Excellent news, I just ordered one for my GF. I recently ordered two X1 phones that did not work in the USA and now I am trying to get my money back through DHGATE. I sent the phones back as agreed for the refund and the seller is not accepting them at the address and they already released the funds to the seller. What a bunch of BS. I might be out $240 USD. !@$!@#@#$%%!@#$@%#$

DHGate?! Hah! What a fool you are! Don’t expect the money back w/o getting the bank involved.

Thanks, Andi, for the news. Since I broke the screen of ThL W100, I have been looking for a replacement with emphasis on Gorilla glass. Nexus 4 is the only $199 with Gorilla glass and 3G 850! I narrowed down to ThL W8S and Zopo C3. But your article saved me $100. I have only 3 apps in my cell, max 3 GB.

Pulled the trigger on the 8Gb model.

Gave up waiting for the G4 advanced to become available and this has all I need for the same money (+ better warranty backup etc).
