Vivo X5L 6.3mm LTE phone receives network license

Perhaps not as thin as Gionee’s latest LTE phone, the Vivo X5L is hardly a porker at just 6.3mm thick!

Spotted over on the TENNA website, Vivo has just received the green light to start selling the Vivo X5L in China. The device will sit in the middle of the Vivo line-up at a price of around 2498 Yuan.

Gizchina News of the week

Specifications include 2GB RAM, on octacore MT6595 processor with MT6290 LTE modem, support for TD-LTE, 5-inch 720p display, Android 4.4.2 and advanced HIFI and camera features. The X5L also appears to retain the typical all alloy construction of current mid-range Vivo phones.

What do you make of the Vivo X5L? A good mid-ranger, or no competition for the Gionee’s 5mm thick phone?

Is this the first MT6595 smartphone, or is it just another mistake on gizchina?
