Zopo were first last year to launch on octacore Mediatek phone, now rumours suggest they could be set to be the first to launch a 64bit MTK device.

Sources close to Zopo say that the company are working on a new flagship phone that will make use of the Medicatek MT6795 SoC. The chipset boasts some impressive features including 64bit architecture, support for a 2K display, LTE, and 4k video recording. With that said though it remains to be seen if Zopo actually take advantage of all those features.

Gizchina News of the week

As for the design of the phone, we still donā€™t know if we should be looking out for another rebadged Zopo ZP998 design, or an all new model, however if history repeats we wonā€™t have to wait too long before more details surface.

I bet they will be “first” just like they were “first” with the pre-release of the zp998 that we had to wait for a couple of months. They also changed the specifications of the phone after all people had placed their orders. Zopo was not first then, they never delivered on time and then you can never be first. They won’t be first this time either. Zopo are clowns!
