UMI Super to feature 3D fingeprint scanner

UMI is certainly having some movie aspirations, because the flow of the UMI Super spec information is slowly turning into another Neverending story. In today’s episode starring the fingeprint scanner used in their upcoming flagship.

Gizchina News of the week

This time we are not hearing the usual “faster unlock ” or “better recognition” tune, but instead it’s focusing on the extra security thanks to the new 3D fingeprint sensor. This new generation of the scanner is supposed to have 4 layers of security – first its scanning your fingeprint ridge flow, then follows with ridge formation, ridge path deviation and in the end 3D ridge depth. So your UMI Super should feel pretty secure.

Hopefully the next episode of the UMI soap opera will finally reveal the used chipset in the phone so we don’t have to guess anymore.

…and, as i said before: the “hole” below the camera in the leaks wasn’t a second camera, but a fingerprint… I guess this is confirmed now (?)

but but “it’s quite clear it will be sporting dual rear camera setup”… I assumed they had inside knowledge but i’m wondering if they were just drunk…

You know, umi sent that “leak” blurry picture for that exact reason: fool people to believe it will have a dual camera in order to ride the hype wave… But now we know for sure it won’t be the case, and at least gizchina. com stopped bragging about the dual camera, while other blogs still bring it as a sure thing xD

That’s the only thing they know how to do best. At the end they will produce scrap.

The chipset is most likely going to be MT6753, l would be surprised if it is anything better than that.

    3D? is it curved?
or, it can recognize your whole finger. Like, including your nail?

I think it will allow you to unlock the phone using any side of your finger, which should allow us to unlock the phone using our nail or even knuckle. :p

Any mediatek processor support more than 4gb of lpddr3 ram, and the last snapdragon (820) is the only one which support than amount of ram (6gb), so its the sd820 or some other intel processor that support 6gb of ram

keep dreaming that they will really usa an SD820…. or provide any 6gbram for any matter …. i hope to be proven wrong anyways…
