Lenovo’s Vibe K5 Note for India will have 4GB RAM (plus launch date)

Lenovo’s Vibe K-series has mostly been about phones that compete with the Redmis and the like. The newest of the lot, the Vibe K5 Note, is now all set to take to the Indian market.

The Vibe K5 Note in India will come with 4GB of RAM. The phone has launched in other markets with 2GB and 3GB of RAM, so it’s interesting to see Lenovo give the Indian market some special treatment. They’re perhaps wanting to exploit the ‘step-motherly’ treatment by Xiaomi, as accused by fans.

Gizchina News of the week

Coming back to point, the Vibe K5 Note will launch in India on the 1st of August. It’ll have a MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor to go with the 4GB of RAM, besides a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 8 mega-pixel front facing camera, 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080p display, and a 3500mAh battery.

With Xiaomi threatening to dominate the entry-level to mid-range phablet market with yet another launch later this week, Lenovo will want to be quick with their tricks.

Is lenovo mobile division populated with imbeciles? Realy if u want to compete with A 500 lb gorilla , you must have a better Gorilla. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is defacto the heavy weight of Low-Mid range Phablet market, and they just can’t satisfy demand. Lenovo needed to better RN3 with a K5 with better display, a far better cam, and at least SD 652. To top it all a 4000 mAh battery is now bench mark for fablets. This K5 Note might sell some, but not as well as RN3. Do some market research Lenovo…thats homework for successful companies to conquer markets.

Well, technically this does compete with the Redmi Note 3. I understand u meant the Pro version which absolutely is a beast of a mid-ranger

Yes they should have used a better processor, probably a Snapdragon instead of Helio P10. The camera picture quality of RN3 is quite bad so it will easily trump it in that. A 3500mAh battery seems good enough. Lenovo displays are usually bad. This device can probably generate good sales offline.
