OnePlus 16 Gets 3C Certification With 100W Charging and 9000mAh Battery

The OnePlus 16 is among the most anticipated flagships of the second half of 2026. At last, after a considerable number of leaks and reports, the phone seems to be getting closer to its expected launch. Today, it passed through an important certification in China.

The device, carrying model number PYB110, has passed the country’s 3C certification process, confirming support for 100W wired charging. At this point, this isn't the first regulatory approval for the phone. The OnePlus 16 reportedly cleared radio certification in August, with the listing also pointing to support for the N79 5G band. The charging certification is more interesting when combined with the battery details that have surfaced through leaks.

OnePlus 16 Could Pack a 9000mAh Battery

According to the latest leak, the OnePlus 16 will feature a 9000mAh battery using a dual-cell design. Its typical capacity is said to be 9000mAh, while the rated capacity is 8780mAh. That would make the battery one of the largest seen in a mainstream OnePlus flagship. The phone is also expected to support 50W wireless charging, giving users a fast option when they do not want to use a cable.

The combination of a 9000mAh battery and 100W wired charging could be one of the phone's biggest hardware upgrades. A battery this large should offer plenty of endurance, although real-world battery life will still depend on the display, processor, and software.

200MP Main Camera and Periscope Zoom

The camera setup is also expected to receive some serious hardware. As per the leaks, the phone has a triple-camera system with a 200-megapixel main sensor measuring 1/1.4-inch. It could be joined by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

The periscope sensor is reportedly 1/1.95-inch. While megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality, this setup suggests OnePlus is putting more emphasis on both main-camera detail and long-range photography.

New Chip With 2+3+3 CPU Design

Performance is expected to come from a new processor with a 2+3+3 CPU configuration and an integrated Adreno GPU. The exact chip has not been officially confirmed yet. But we assume it's one of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series CPUs. On paper, the configuration should give the OnePlus 16 plenty of processing power for demanding apps and gaming.
