We are just a few hours before Xiaomi’s first 2018 event in India. With the #Giveme5 premise the company is about to unveil the fifth generation of the very successful and popular Redmi Note line.
Previous rumors were pointing to the announcement of not only one but two devices carrying India’s favorite phablet name – Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, thanks to a pair of leaks we’ve got a glimpse of alleged specifications for both devices. But the price still was a mystery, not for so long I would say.
A new set of screenshots from Flipkart were revealed by a Twitter user called @IshanAgarwal24. The leak reveals the Indian price for both Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. If these leaks are to be believed, then both handsets will deliver a very good value for money.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is undoubtedly the most anticipated device being released tomorrow, it brings the excellent Kyro-powered Snapdragon 636 paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage. The India’s camera beast packs 12MP+5MP dual cameras on the rear and a whooping 20MP front-facing snapper. According to this leak, the price for the 4GB+64GB 5 Pro variant will be 13,999 INR (~$217), the highest variant will be a little more expensive, and by spending 16,999 INR ($265) you can grab the 6GB/64GB Redmi Note 5 Pro. But don’t hold your breath, according to the screenshot the high-end variant of Note 5 Pro will not be available from launch, and users wishing to grab it will need to wait a little longer.
The Redmi Note 5 as previously expected, is just a rebranded Redmi 5 Plus, bringing the two years old, but successful Snapdragon 625 paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of Storage. Camera wise the handset brings a single 12MP camera and 5MP selfie shooter. The pricing for the 3GB/32GB variant will be as low as 9,999 INR ($155) while the 4GB/64GB will cost a little more, reaching a 11,999 INR ($186) price tag.
