In addition to the series of smartphones released so far in the month of October, Xaomi looks set to releasing the Mi Mix 3 – the device that may shape up to be its first smartphone with 5G and slider camera mechanism. While there has been no shortage of fresh-off-the-press leaks of the device to wet your appetite, Online retailer JD.com now has listed the phone for pre-order on its official store – literally under wraps – with little or no fresh info.
The listing has an image of the Mi Mix 3, confirming what might turn out to be one of the most intriguing features of the upcoming device – the slider camera mechanism. Other details are still under the wraps, however, there is a ¥9998 price tag on the page, which is nothing but a placeholder, because there is no way such a powerhouse could attract such a meagre price tag.
It is presently not clear how Xiaomi intends to bring the 5G feature to the Mi Mix 3. Are we expecting an embedded X50 modem or will it come in form of a mod -similar to Motorola’s 5G Moto Mod? these and many more we would find out in the following days.
Aside from the camera slider, there are speculations the device might come with 10GB RAM, though there may be 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage variant. Also, the Mi Mix 3 is believed to feature the 2.8GHz Snapdragon 845 processor, on-screen fingerprint scanning, while there could be a variant with a rear fingerprint sensor.
There is also talk of a Ceramic model, and of a Ferrari Special Edition, Thursday, October 25th is the date, ensure you keep a tab with us @Gizchina for prompt updates.
