Android users around China, well those of them lucky enough to have the official Android market on their devices, were set off in panic yesterday when the ‘Great Firewall’ blocked there avenue to app mecca!

Thankfully the Android app store is back up and running in China today!

There has been no official word as to why the Android market was temoparirly blocked, but it is likely not going to be the last time customers using Google’s services in China will meet inconveniences.

Gmail on mobile devices is often a little hit and miss as to if you can get access, Google maps is currently in a legal grey area in China and could very well be shut down soon, and the App market is likely to see more sporadic downtime due to emerging Chinese app store competition!
