Huawei

Huawei is really trying to become the leader in the smartphone business by beating a giants like Samsung in their own game.

From the Chinese company do indeed come rumors of a possible device with a camera cut out hole design, as well as a foldable phone in 2019. Two design choices Samsung unveiled the past months.

On the software side, Huawei confirmed to be working on their own alternative to Google’s Android OS, that didn’t stop them from releasing the latest Android 9 Pie to the Huawei P20 series though, thankfully.

Samsung

Since we already talked about Samsung above, let’s quickly cover the Korean tech giant as well. In the past week we’ve been hearing lots of rumors about the upcoming Galaxy S10 series, going from the cut out camera hole to the foldable phones.

The first of the two – the camera hole – is actually expected to come this month on the Galaxy A8s, which sadly could instead miss the headphone jack.

ASUS

Asus ZenFone 5

The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 we talked about last week has become even more real in the past 7 days as a tremendous amount of leaks have confirmed pretty much about the handset, such as the Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM and more. Click here to read about it.

Nubia

Great and less great news coming this week from Chinese phone maker Nubia. While the company did indeed unveil the great bang for the bucks Nubia Red Magic Mars gaming phone and the new NUBIA X with its rear display looking really sleek, they also brought some bad news to Nubia Z17 owners. Nubia, in fact, announced that the 1 year old flagship isn’t getting any more updates. The Android 9 Pie update that was expected to come was also officially cancelled.
