Budget Nokia 4.2 set to launch in India on May 7

Launched in February at MWC 2019, the Nokia 4.2 is already available for pre-order on retailers Amazon and BestBuy, but won't ship until May 14, and now, HMD Global is on the verge of releasing the Nokia 4.2 for the Indian market. The device first showed up alongside the Nokia 3.2 on the brand's official India website last week, and today it has released a video teasing the device preparatory to its India launch.

The 30s video is accompanied by the tag line All your answers are a tap away. 4 days before you can #DoItAll, which essentially teases the device's dedicated Google Assistant button with which you can launch the digital search assistant. The device launches in 4 days time, May 7th to be precise, though we are not sure if there will be any special event or perhaps it will go on sale silently in the country.

Expected alongside the Nokia 4.2 in the country is the flagship Nokia 9 Pureview launched at the same MWC event in February. HMD Global had earlier in March teased the arrival of the flagship device in India, but it was only a few hours ago it got certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which is a prerequisite step for starting sales in the country, so a launch in the country is obviously around the corner.

Talking of the Nokia 4.2, the device highlights a dedicated Google Assistant button, has a LED notification light embedded into the power button runs Android One and gets two cameras around its back - a 13-megapixel standard camera and a 2-megapixel camera that senses depth.
