Its good news only because it will make the 6589T version drop in price. Maybe even less than 150$ from resellers.

I see no reason in 1S model, performance almost the same (snap 400 vs mt6589t).
They will need mt6592 in 1S – it can be good, but not snap 400.
    No reason to buy it.
    Disappointed.

As you can see the Snapdragon is faster than the Mediatek, if you have read the news you’ll see that is 33% faster, more or less. And with Snapdragon processors you can do and install custom ROMs as Cyanogenmod, AOKP, Paranoid and all that stuff, and with MTK it’s impossible. And finally, the price it’s the same, so you have a better phone paying the same. Worth it.

Who would Install any other ROM instead of MIUI? LOL. The MIUI is the only reason for buing Xiaomi phone.

+1 , MIUI is really good. I think Xiaomi’s approach to use the Snapdragan 400 is excellent. This probably will force the good MTK chipset phones to be priced less and also compete with famous Moto G worldwide.

That’s obvious, but there’s people who likes Paranoid, or whatever. And what I was saying is that the version with Snapdragon is better, and if you don’t want to install any ROM don’t do it, it’s just more possibilities.

S’O tell me where can i buy 1 S in china!?

    • March 12, 2014

The only official way to buy a Xiaomi phone is through the Xiaomi website. The other way it through a scalper or at a ‘phone city’ but the prices will be higher.
