If you live on planet earth, then you’ll know this past week was the one in which the Huawei P20 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S were finally unveiled. Other smartphone manufacturers haven’t been resting though, so let’s check out some of the most interesting news from the past 7 days, hoping to get you back in the loop if you weren’t!

Alright, you probably have read about it plenty already but some might have missed it. So here’s a link to our coverage of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S launch. Xiaomi launched a couple more devices throughout the week: the Mi TV 4C, Mi TV 4S, a new Amazfit Smart Sports and a gaming laptop.

Huawei

This was the week of the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro launch as well. We finally saw the much awaited triple rear camera setup of the Pro version and we have admired what it’s able to do. Soon after launching the two handsets above as well as the Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design and the Y7 Prime, the Chinese company also unveiled the Huawei Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8 Plus and Enjoy 8e. Vivo

On the Vivo side we instead heard some rumors regarding the upcoming Vivo Y71. The smartphone is set to pack a 5.99-inch 1440 x 720p, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and more. Meanwhile the previously announced Vivo X21 with the under-display fingerprint scanner did incredible when finally available in offline stores.

Meizu

The Meizu 15 Anniversary edition seems to be getting closer as we can now have a real look at the device after it’s been spotted on TENAA. There will be three variants available, a plan Meizu 15, a Meizu 15 Plus and a Meizu 15 Lite. Visit this page to learn more about it.

OnePlus

OnePlus

This week we’ve heard a lot about OnePlus, but mostly on a negative note though. The Chinese phone maker did indeed reveal some new info about the upcoming OnePlus 6 (or whatever they decide to name it), implying that it will be sporting a top notch and having the CEO – Carl Pei – saying that users will “learn to love it“.

According to you guys, a smartphone should have at least 4GB of RAM to be able to provide a smooth user experience in this day and age, which is what I’d voted as well. Now though, we have another question for you: Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S or Huawei P20 Pro: Which Will You Buy?
