OnePlus 12R Is Now Available in Variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB Storage

OnePlus announced today the release of a new OnePlus 12R variant in India. However, there aren’t big hardware changes in this case. The company is launching a new variant that features 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The new model will sit between the entry model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage and the high-end version with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB Storage.

One More Option for OnePlus 12R Buyers in India

The new 8GB/256GB model has a price set at INR 42,999 ($517). The base model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage costs INR 39,999 ($481,82). The higher 16GB/256GB variant has its price set at INR 45,999 ($554). Therefore, OnePlus is adding one intermediary option for those who want more storage but don’t want to pay the price asked for the 256GB variant with 16GB of RAM.

Some users won’t bother paying more than $37 for twice the RAM offered in the intermediary option. However, for some, that amount can be expressive. That’s even more expressive if we consider that before this variant users would need to spend an extra INR 6,000 ($72) for more than 128 GB of Storage.

The new OnePlus 12R with 8GB/256GB will be on sale from March 21, 12 PM IST from OnePlus.in, OnePlus Store App, Amazon.in, OnePlus Experience Stores, and other offline retail partner stores. OnePlus also has some extra offers for this variant. The offers include free OnePlus Buds Z2, INR 1000 instant bank discount for ICICI and OneCard users, and 9-month no-cost EMI.
